Mindful of the eyes of history, posterity and the public at large I have removed my first and (until now) only post on my public blog. The dissemination of opinion on this 'Wide, Wide World of Web' is instantaneous but indiscriminate; it is "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, [but] signifying nothing" and it is dangerously easy to use. Recognizing this, I now know that I must proceed carefully during this experiment in publishing and I will strive to restrain my editorial impulses as well as my fondness for unnecessary eloquence. Alliteration, however, will continue to to be used to increase the illusion of an academic and articulate tone.
